Limestone Bluffs RC&D created a rural business enterprise revolving loan program in 2003 that is targeted at new or existing small businesses in the rural area of the six county RC&D area.
A USDA Rural Business Enterprise grant was used to establish the $101,000 revolving loan fund. To date, twelve small businesses have been assisted with funds representing total project investments of nearly $1.3 million and created/retained 50 jobs. Nine of the loans have been paid off and funds are available to loan out the second time. more info
